Our Mission         

Renewed Recovery aims to assist people as they transition out of outpatient treatment. We hope to provide you with the necessary skills to feel confident about maintaining your recovery journey as you make the change to no longer seeing your providers on a regular basis.

Our story       

My name is Emily Vinson. I am a 4th year PhD candidate in Health Promotion and Behavior at the University of Georgia.

Renewed Recovery is the study I will be conducting for my dissertation. I was inspired to create the program when I came across the curriculum for Mindfulness Based Relapse Recovery and found out it had not been transformed into a web-based program yet. With the internet being such a staple in peoples lives in today's day-in-age, I decided to test if the curriculum would be as effect as a web-based program as it is in-person.

The reason I am researching substance use is because addiction has affected my family for generations. I recognize a pivotal part in the recovery journey is transitioning back into 'normal life', which is why this program focus on that.
